THE SCRAN

The Scran: October 2024

This is our menu throughout October at the Shoap. 


All morning rolls are baked by us in-house using the fantastic flour from Mungoswells and can be filled with everything from square sausage to Stornoway black pudding.


Our lunch menu this month includes 3 great pieces.


The Glesga Cheese Steak is our take on the classic from Philly. Aberdeen Angus beef which is braised and pulled sat alongside sweet peppers & onions that we cook for yonks so they're buttery, crispy shallots for crunch and a fantastic cheese - Rainton Tomme - which melts down on the griddle.

The Pig's Lug - an ode to the pig.  Our Scottish pork mince is slowly cooked with cider, fennel and chicken stock and paired alongside Stornoway black pudding, crispy bacon and our own apple ketchup.  Familiar combos done in the Auld Hag way.

Finally, the stuffed hag is our veggie option this month.  What happens if you order too many peppers? Make a salsa roja and get some veggie haggis in there with charred roasted veg and our old trusty: crowdie cheese.
